Why Organic hair color?

Anna7

The past year working with Organic systems has been great.  So Im reposting information about this line.  This year at the end of February  I am adding hair extensions a great way to change your look, add volume, or just for the fun of it!

I love the results and feed back I get from clients in 2013.  For those of you who are conscious about their lifestyle and our environment, this color line exceeds the norm in results and handling. It’s really one of a kind.

How it works..
The key difference with OCS is that not only is it the base of the color (the main ingredient); which is alkaline, so it raises the pH of the hair. But it is also a conditioning agent; so it softens the cuticle at the same time.  This softening process means that OCS is able to work at a far lower pH and is a far gentler way to color the hair than ammonia-based colors.

Unlike ammonia which operates at a high pH and swells the cuticle, literally forcing the pigments into the hair, Organic Color Systems moisturizes the hair which softens the cuticle, allowing it to open at a lower pH and enabling the color to wind itself through the layers of cuticle.

Why?
Health of staff and clients, far better condition of the clients’ hair, the fact that clients are increasingly asking for it and no smell of ammonia in the salon.

Weekend love.

I hope you have an awesome Memorial Day & weekend.  Hopefully you are headed out-of-town, hanging out with friends or just relaxing.   Today is my last day at the salon for the week and I’m looking forward to letting my hair down with some girlfriends.

As America celebrates Memorial Day, we pay tribute to those who have given their lives in our nation’s wars.

Man Style

Oh yes, sideburns have no boundaries.  Race car drivers, politicians, comedians, musicians, athletes, and heart throbs alike sport this look. I’m not sure which one I like the best, but they all get points for the super manly quality added to their hairstyle by working the burns.

Life is too short to be little.  Man is never so manly as when he feels deeply, acts boldly, and expresses himself with frankness and with fervor.

Have a beautiful weekend. It’s a great time to test out growing in these looks.

A one dimensional view.

Unknown-2

Mirror mirror on the wall…

Your friend and/or your enemy.

After years of watching clients sit in my chair, talk about their hair, their frustrations with it, the things they like, don’t like or don’t want to change. There is always a moment when you notice how a person sees themselves in a one-dimensional mirror. How this flat perspective can be deceiving to the person on the other side.

First, most people do not get this flat view, or see you when your chin is down or when you’re looking at yourself with a tilt of your head, focused on things you don’t like. With mirror’s and photograph’s we build our ideas of how we look and yes to some degree they are true.

This view is hardly ever animated with a true smile, a look of happiness, compassion, or eyes filled with moment. Which is how the rest of the world gets to see you. From the side, from the back, from all the angles and more than that … you … caught in a moment; whatever that moment may be. These moments are always a perspective mostly unseen by you.

I’ve never seen a smiling face that was not beautiful.
